My adorable friend Carlyn throws the best parties.  She is known in the neighborhood for her beautiful teas.  Here she is showing me how to restore my Goodwill silver.  She hosted a Halloween Tea the other night and I loved her centerpiece!  It was just different glass jars decorated with small wisps of black ribbon.  She lit them all with little tea lights and the effect was magical!

This idea would be beautiful for Christmas or Hanukkah as well.  You could use the same jars, sugar or Epsom salts in the bottom for “snow”, tea lights and coordinating ribbon.  Start looking for those glass jars at Goodwill now!
