First, my name is DeeAnna and I love writing for you here at Thrifting Denver. I can’t wait to show you all of the wonderful things I have re-loved and re-created from Goodwill items. It all started about a year and a half ago when I was in a car accident and the recovery that followed. I couldn’t drive for six months due to a brain injury, I had A LOT of time on my hands and I found myself reading all kinds of blogs. I stumbled across Eddie Ross and he was always talking about shopping at Goodwill. I don’t think I had ever been in a store prior to that. I walked in promptly found a Michael Kors tunic with the tags still attached for $4.99, and I have been hooked ever since! I started my own blog September the March a year ago and then A Little Junk In My Trunk came about in January, a blog about All Things Goodwill and my quest to find the ever elusive Dale of Norway sweater!

Hi DeeAnna! I believe I met you tonight at the show. I sincerely apologize if I seemed a little off, I was in the middle of trying to find a VERY lost husband-of-mine–yikes!
If you guys ever have any other local fashion events, please please PLEASE throw me an email! I’d love to talk and I’d love to help promote, as I think anything that supports Denver’s sometimes-less-than-thriving fashion scene is amazing, and not to mention the Goodwill is such a fantastic organization within itself! Thanks again for hosting such a wonderful show and event tonight- I had such a great time, and from what I’ve heard so far everyone else in attendance did too. <3

was such a pleasure meeting DeeAnna for the Goodwill meet up on July 9!
several other participants have been in contact and we are planning on remaining in touch.. perhaps a luncheon is in the works..
Goodwill has been my sole source for shopping!
I have NOT been in a ‘mall” in over 2 years.. (except for underwear!)
I enjoy everything Goodwill represents in the community..
plus being providing exceptional shopping!!
